Browser extension

The extension that tracks and fills applications for you

The Apptracka browser extension does two jobs: it records every application you submit without you lifting a finger, and it fills in the repetitive parts of application forms - name, email, phone, address, work authorisation - from a profile you save once. It runs in Chrome, Edge, Brave and any other Chromium-based browser.

Auto-tracking, in detail

The extension only records an application when it has evidence you submitted one: a form submission, a click on a submit control inside an application form, a successful POST to an application endpoint, or arrival at a page that can only be reached by applying. Merely opening a job posting - even one whose description happens to say "thank you for applying" - never creates a tracked application. When a board hands you off mid-application (Indeed starting on indeed.com and finishing on smartapply.indeed.com, or a careers page handing off to Greenhouse), the extension carries the posting across so the saved record is the job, not the confirmation screen.

Autofill, and what it will not touch

Autofill matches fields by their label, placeholder, name, autocomplete attribute and the data attributes enterprise ATSes use instead of readable names. It handles US and Canadian address formats, maps state and province names to the abbreviations select menus expect, and answers work-authorisation and sponsorship questions from your saved profile. It deliberately never answers voluntary self-identification questions - gender, race, veteran status, disability - and never fills date of birth or government ID fields. It never overwrites something you already typed.

Connecting it to your account

Install the extension, then open Apptracka and sign in. The extension picks up your session from the app automatically; the popup's Connect button is a fallback rather than a required step. Your credentials never pass through the extension - it receives a short-lived access token, stored locally on that device and never synced to your browser profile.

Beyond the built-in boards

Around forty job boards and applicant tracking systems are supported out of the box. For company career pages that use something else, the popup has an opt-in "enable on all websites" toggle that turns on the same tracking and autofill everywhere. It is off by default, because an extension that reads every site you visit should be a choice you make deliberately.

Frequently asked questions

Does the extension work in Microsoft Edge?

Yes. The same package runs in Chrome, Edge, Brave, Opera, Vivaldi and Arc. Install it from the Chrome Web Store - Edge can install Chrome Web Store extensions directly after allowing extensions from other stores.

Does it read every page I visit?

No. By default it only runs on the job boards and applicant tracking systems it supports. Running on all websites is an opt-in toggle that asks for permission when you enable it.

Does the extension use my AI quota?

No. Tracking and autofill are free and do not consume AI analyses.
