Indeed

Track your Indeed applications automatically

Applications on Indeed often start on a job page and finish somewhere else entirely - Indeed's SmartApply flow, or the employer's own site. Apptracka records the application against the job you actually applied to, with its title, company, description and a working link back to the posting.

Why Indeed applications are easy to lose

Indeed shows postings three different ways: a dedicated job page, a preview panel inside search results, and a mobile layout. The apply flow then moves you to a different subdomain and ends on a confirmation screen whose only heading is "Your application was submitted to <company>". That screen contains no job title, no description, and no link back. Anything that scrapes the page you end on ends up recording the banner instead of the job.

How Apptracka handles it

The extension pins the posting you were reading before the handoff, then attributes the submission to it once the confirmation appears - even though the confirmation is on a different domain. Applying from the search-results panel works the same way as applying from a full job page. The result in your tracker is the role and company you applied to, with the description kept for later, not a status message.

Sponsored listings and duplicates

The same role frequently appears on Indeed more than once. Applications are keyed by Indeed's own job identifier, so re-visiting a posting you already applied to updates the existing record rather than creating a duplicate row in your pipeline.

Frequently asked questions

Does it track applications made through Indeed SmartApply?

Yes, including the cross-domain handoff from indeed.com to smartapply.indeed.com.

What if I apply from the search results page instead of the job page?

Both work. The job selected in the preview panel is recognised as the posting you applied to.

Does it work on Indeed country sites?

Yes - ca.indeed.com, uk.indeed.com and the other country subdomains are all covered.
