Is Apptracka free?

Yes. The free plan includes unlimited job application tracking, the Chrome extension with auto-tracking and form autofill, reminders, the community, wellness and career tools, 1 CV upload, and 25 AI analyses per month (up to 5 per day).

What does Pro cost and what do I get?

Pro is $9.99/month or $79.99/year (about 33% off). It raises your AI limit to 200 analyses per day (3,000 per month), lets you store up to 10 tailored CVs, and includes priority support. All AI tools — cover letter generation, interview prep, STAR story builder, CV-to-job matching, skill gap analysis, ATS scan, salary benchmarks, and market sentiment — are available on both plans; Pro simply gives you far more capacity.

What counts as an "AI analysis"?

Each time you run an AI tool (for example, analyzing a job description or generating a cover letter), one analysis is used. If a request fails, or we can serve a previously generated result from cache, the analysis is automatically refunded — you only spend quota when the AI actually runs for you.

When do my AI limits reset?

Daily limits reset at midnight UTC. Monthly limits reset on the first day of each calendar month (UTC).

How does the Chrome extension work?

The extension detects when you view or submit job applications on supported job boards (LinkedIn, Indeed, Glassdoor, Greenhouse, Lever, Workday, SmartRecruiters, Workable, Wellfound, ZipRecruiter, Google Careers, Monster) and saves them to your Apptracka account automatically. It can also autofill application forms using your saved profile. The extension is completely free and doesn't use any of your AI quota.

How does billing work?

Payments are processed securely by Stripe — we never see or store your card details. Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled.

Can I cancel anytime?

Yes. Cancel from your profile settings at any time. You keep Pro access until the end of the billing period you already paid for, and you won't be charged again. Your data and free plan features remain intact after downgrading.

Do you keep my CV file?

No. When you upload a CV (PDF, DOCX, or TXT), we extract the text — which is what all the AI features work from — and don't retain the original file. Keep your own copy of the document; scanned or image-only PDFs can't be used because they contain no extractable text.

What happens to my extra CVs if I downgrade?

Your files are never deleted when you downgrade. You just can't upload new CVs beyond the free limit of 1 until you either delete older ones or upgrade again.

Is my data private?

Your job applications, CVs, and personal data are visible only to you. CV and job description text is sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini) only when you explicitly run an AI feature, and Google processes those requests under its own API terms. We don't sell your data or show ads. See the Privacy Policy for full details.

Do you offer refunds?

If something went wrong — you were double-charged, or a technical problem prevented you from using Pro — email us and we'll make it right. For ordinary cancellations, you keep access until the end of the paid period instead of a partial refund.
