Terms of Service

Last updated: July 25, 2026 · Applies to the Apptracka web app and Chrome extension.

1. The service

Apptracka helps you track job applications, manage CVs, and use AI-assisted tools during your job search. By creating an account or using the service you agree to these terms. If you don't agree, please don't use the service.

2. Your account

You need an account to use most features. You're responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. You must provide accurate information and be legally able to enter into this agreement.

3. Plans, limits and billing

The free plan includes unlimited job tracking, the Chrome extension, 1 CV upload, and a monthly allowance of AI analyses (currently 25 per month, up to 5 per day). The Pro plan ($9.99/month or $79.99/year) includes higher AI limits (currently 200 per day, 3,000 per month) and up to 10 stored CVs. Exact limits are shown in the app and may be adjusted over time; we'll communicate meaningful reductions in advance. All AI limits exist to prevent abuse and keep the service sustainable — they are capacity allowances, not guarantees of a specific number of successful AI generations.

Subscriptions are billed through Stripe and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time; access continues until the end of the period you've paid for, after which your account moves to the free plan. Prices may change; existing subscribers will be notified before a price change affects their renewal.

3a. Refunds and cancellation

You can cancel a Pro subscription at any time from Account Settings. Cancellation stops the next renewal; it does not refund the period already in progress, and you keep Pro until that period ends. Because Apptracka is a digital service delivered immediately, we do not offer refunds for partial periods as a matter of course, but we will refund a charge in full if you contact us within 14 days of that charge and have not made substantial use of the Pro AI allowance in the period — and always where consumer law in your country requires it (including the EU/UK statutory 14-day right of withdrawal for digital services, which you consent to waive only to the extent you begin using Pro features immediately). To request a refund, email the address in section 12 from your account address.

4. AI-generated content

AI features (cover letters, interview prep, CV analysis, salary estimates, and similar) generate content automatically and can be inaccurate, incomplete, or outdated. Salary and market data are estimates, not facts. You're responsible for reviewing anything the AI produces before using it in a real application. Apptracka is a tool to support your job search — it makes no promise that you will get interviews, offers, or employment.

5. Your content

You own the content you upload (CVs, notes, applications, posts). You give us permission to store and process it solely to operate the service — for example, sending CV text to our AI provider when you run an AI feature. We don't sell your content or use it for advertising.

6. Community rules

Community posts and comments are visible to other users. Don't post anything unlawful, harassing, deceptive, spammy, or that discloses someone else's private information. We may remove content or restrict accounts that break these rules. Anonymous posting hides your name from other users, not from moderation.

7. Acceptable use

Don't attempt to circumvent usage limits, probe or disrupt the service, scrape other users' data, resell access, or use the service to violate any law or the terms of the job boards you visit. We may suspend or terminate accounts engaged in abuse.

8. The Chrome extension

The extension interacts with third-party job sites on your behalf. Those sites' own terms apply to your use of them. Autofill fills forms with data you provided; always review a form before submitting it.

9. Termination

You can stop using the service at any time and delete your account and all of its data yourself from Account Settings (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, with notice where reasonable.

9a. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Canada and the province of the operator's residence, and any dispute will be handled by the courts there, except where mandatory consumer-protection law in your own country of residence gives you the right to bring a claim locally.

10. Disclaimers and liability

The service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service is limited to the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim arose (or $10 if you've paid nothing). Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot legally be limited.

11. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product evolves. We'll update the date above and, for significant changes, notify you in the app or by email. Continuing to use the service after a change means you accept the updated terms.
