What SEEK gives you, and what it does not
SEEK keeps a list of applications you sent through SEEK, which is useful but partial: it does not know about the LinkedIn Easy Apply or the company career page you applied through on the same afternoon, it does not remind you to follow up, and it does not tell you which of the forty have gone quiet. A tracker's job is the whole picture.

Do I need the extension?
For automatic tracking, yes - it is what sees the submission. Without it you can add applications by hand in the web app, or share a listing from your phone and let the server read it.
Which browsers?
Chrome, Edge, Brave and any other Chromium browser. Firefox and Safari are not supported by the extension; the web app works everywhere.
